I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I know my family and I did.... Instead of dong gifts, our family (of 5) and a good friend of ours, met up on Christmas morning, to hand out presents to people in need (like people without homes, or poor families). We changed a lot people's thoughts, and maybe even lives. It felt good to give, as we handed out little gift baskets and some of our toys we don't play with anymore. And then after that, we went home, and ate "brunch" with the rest of our (LARGE) family. But, poor Gavin and Maribel, and all of the other children in their orphanage (they are not in the same orphanage/region), they had to spend Christmas day in an old, nasty, unloved and depressing orphanage. (You could give them a great, late Christmas present by donating to their grants, and just one dollar, could help sweet little Maribel find her "forever family"). I just kept looking at sweet Gavin's pictures all around our house, and felt so bad for our little Gavin, wishing he was here with us right then and now. But I kept remembering, "He'll be here with us, in our arms, next Christmas, and will never have to spend Christmas alone and unloved again." Gavin, we love you very, very, much, more than you can imagine. We will be there soon to rescue you, love you!

Gift Ideas!!!
In case you didn't know....... CHISTMAS IS IN 2 DAYS!!! And I have some great gift ideas! Gift #1: If you give $35 or more, you will recieve a beautiful Christmas tree ornament with a child's picture on it. This would be a good present to give to anyone, espeially someone you know who is very passionate about Reece's Rainbow. So please consider giving this gift!!!
Gift #2: A CHILD!! I know it may be CRAZY, and you probably wouldn't get him/her by Chistmas, but wouldn't someone just LOVE that gift!!?? I know I would!
Gift #3: Andrea is doing this thing, where say, I got an envolope (addressed to Andrea Roberts) filled with maybe 10-50 (or more) dollars in my stucking. I would take that envolope and give it to someone and they would go on RR, and pick a child to donate that money to. Then they would send the envolpoe to Andrea, and she will see how many envolopes (filled with money) she gtes after Christmas. So, you could always do that, put an envolope filled with money and adrressed to Andrea in someone's stucking this year. Please consider doing this!!!
Have a Merry Christmas! And may this season bring you Love, Joy, Hope and Peace this year! Love, Genesis.

Life as we know it
Yesterday, me and my family went to the Cobb theater in Florida, which is a pretty expensive movie theater. The only reason we went is because a friend of ours, got a deal on the tickets, so a group of people (over 50 people) from our church went to see the new movie, The Chronicles or Narnia 3. But, the tickets were for 3D, so then it costs a little more. The movie was great, everyone loved it and we had a BLAST! But I was just thinking, the tickets were about $8.00 each. And I didn't see one person there alone, which means there were families.... families like us, who spent $40 just to see the movie. Plus, all of the other stuff like drinks, popcorn, candy etc. So we spent, probably 70 dollars total that day. And so did a lot of other families and couples too. So, when we see someone post something about a child maybe on RR that needs donations for him or her's grant, why do we think, wow, 70 dollars would be a lot to give to this child, let me lower that amount. When we just spent, that same amount of money, on our selves, on food and drinks that only last for 2 hours, on one little movie that you can always wait to rent out on DVD. If you wanted to donate to a child in need, and you were only going to give maybe 5 or 10 dollars, that's okay, you may not have that much money to give, but when yo know that you have that money, and you know that you are suppose to give at least $50, and you think, no, this ONE child doesn't NEED that. You remember how much you could spend in one day, on one movie, for YOU. And that life isn't about spending a bunch of money for YOU or going and using the last bit of money you have on something for YOURSELF, life is about God, and God wants us to give. He wants us to sacrifice some of our money we have, and give it to someone in need. I bet, that with everyone in that theater, if they all put their money they used on the movie toward a child on RR, that would be a 720 dollar donation. AMAZING.

Maribel's Grant
Maribel's grant only had $0. Completely empty, and for a while. But now, she has $15 in her grant fund toward her adoption!! I know it may not seem like much, but it's better then nothing. She also has $190 in her Angel Tree Sponsor Program. That's not including the money I hope to raise for her on this blog, or the help that will go to her by me advocating for sweet Maribel. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING. I know I am being pushy right now, because I don't have any items to sell to get money for her, but Maribel is new to RR and so her grant will take a little while to fill. So PLEASE HELP, DONATE, or even ADOPT little miss Maribel.

A Trip To The Past
Let's take a little trip to Maribel's past. Maribel is only 3 years old, (born August 2007) this picture was probably taken when she was 1 years. I don't know how well functioning she was then, but she has down syndrome and at 1, you usually can't do much. But now, she is VERY well functioning, sleeps and eats VERY well, is able to distinguish between others, and is affectionate with others. Maribel was VERY cute as a baby, in this picture. I think she was an adorable baby, but have you ever met a "un-cute" baby?? But anyway, Maribel sounds like a perfect daughter..... please consider adopting her!! If you are interested in miss Maribel, please email me. So we took a VERY, VERY little trip to little Maribel's past but at least you have a cute picture of her to look at now.... hahaha.

Updates on Maribel
Maribel is 3 years old, her birth date is August 2007. She is just the cutest thing, she was born with down syndrome, but is developing very well. She is almost 4, and is still waiting for her "forever" family. Maribel loves toys, she is an orphanage favorite too :) Miss Maribel is in Eastern Europe, she knows her name, and is able to distinguish between others. She also eats and sleeps well. Maribel has $65 in her grant fund towards her adoption (raised by her Angel Tree Warrior :) Everyone who looks at her sweet face just adores her :) Or I think so... Maribel is in a popular region, they are a lot more children there so please consider adopting more then 1 child at a time! She has more recent/baby photos available, please email me at genesislinhouse@yahoo.com for any of those pictures.

"You'll Never Know Unless You Ask!"
Don't be afraid to ask. If you are interested in Maribel, please email me, or Andrea Roberts. I prefer you ask me, if you are just looking for pictures, because Andrea is very busy and gets probably hundreds of emails a day :) So, I do have photos of Maribel if you are interested. Maribel is still in "danger", she is going to be sent to a mental institution in 1 or 2 years, and is such a happy, intelligent, adorable little girl, oh how I would hate to see all of that go into a nasty, old, smelly, sad crib in a big room next to tons of other poor children treated terribly. So please inquire about miss Maribel, she needs a home, please rescue her by adopting her before she is sent to the institute.

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog! I know you might be confused because this blog was my family blog, but because I'm never keeping up with this one and I'm Maribel's Christmas Warrior now, I thought I would need a new blog, just for her. So, no more family blog, but my mom does have a family blog of her own if you would like to read it. But anyway, this is Maribel's blog from now on, it is to show updates and info on her, and to advocate for her. I just became little Maribel's Christmas Warrior. I won't be selling items for a little while, so I'm going to be collecting donations. Please donate!!!! I will be making pages on this blog, one of them will be, "About Maribel". So that you can read, and hopefully consider adopting miss Maribel. "Giving to Maribel" is under construction right now, (changing it from family to advocate) so it be a slow process. But meanwhile, please go on RR and go to "Ages 3-5" or "Our Most At Risk Children" and donate to sweet Maribel. She is 3 years old and needs someone to love her and hold her safe forever. So please join me in this journey to fill Maribel's grant, and help her find the family she deserves!!
